Everyone
that has kids should have a dog, you'll never have to clean food off the floor
again. Off the dog maybe.... but never off the floor. These furry members of
our family deserve a day of celebration for all that baby cleaning they do!
This party was to celebrate Elizabeth from Lemonberry Moon's Lab and Dachshund, Bumper and Oscar. I set it
up at a new local dog park, invited their closest friends and encouraged new
friends to join in the fun as well.
Frisbees and
tennis balls were well received favors as well as the "doggy bags"
full of treats. The pups enjoyed liver donuts and liver squirrel cookies while
the people ate the conspicuously labeled "canine cookies" that were
actually for humans (what can I say, I don't like to share cookies from Katie's Creative Baking, they're too yummy!)
Apple slices and carrot sticks were a healthier and
welcome addition, our pups love these as treats often! The
"pupsicles" were a favorite to cool down on this warm day and were
super simple to make. I just blended cottage cheese with a little peanut
butter, poured it into a small dixie cup and stuck a milkbone in the middle.
Freeze and enjoy! Or let the pups enjoy, I tried one and I'll pass.
The
meatloaf cupcakes were inspired by the homemade food I make for our dogs on a
daily basis. Recipe here Meatloaf Cupcakes With Mashed Potato Frosting; Pupcakes! And
you can't have a puppy party without peanut butter on a spoon!
