{Craft} Paper Heart Garland by Sweetly Chic Events & Design!

Here at Sweetly Chic, we are always looking for cute and fun ways to bring in new elements of DIY décor for our parties.   So, when we got our hands on the Recollections Heart Paper Punch, we knew a paper heart garland would be the perfect project!  Sweet, simple and fun; what more can you ask for?!?

Supplies:

-Cardstock

-Recollections 2inch Heart Paper Punch

-Ribbon or Twine

-Glue Gun

-Scissors

Directions:

Select any color cardstock of your choosing.  We chose 3 varying shades of pink to achieve an ombre affect once our garland is complete!  Begin by punching your cardstock with the Recollections Heart Paper punch.

Repeat this step until you have accumulated a fair amount of paper hearts.

For this garland, we punched 6-8 hearts for each color cardstock.  Next, select your first heart to be the start of your garland.

Using your hot glue gun, place a dollop of hot glue in the center of your heart.

Cut your preferred length of ribbon or twine and while the glue is still hot, place it vertically on the paper heart.

Place another dollop of hot glue on the same spot, but now on top of your ribbon.

Now take a paper heart in the same color and gently place on top of your first heart and ribbon.

Repeat these simple steps until you have achieved your preferred length of garland.

How easy was that?  These paper heart garlands can be used in a variety of ways; party backdrops, banners, or even in your own home décor.  We chose to showcase ours in a classic white frame.

We love the bit of sweetness it brings, and knowing we made it ourselves, makes it all the more enjoyable!  We hope you have just as much fun creating your very own paper heart garland!
