{Party Feature} Ladybug Baby Shower

I was blessed enough to have Elizabeth from Lemonberry Moon assist in throwing an adorable ladybug baby shower for me! I found a lady bug nursery decor and bedding that was not the usual pastel colors for a newborn. I fell in love with the polka dots and bold red.

Elizabeth went the extra mile with all the details for my shower! Words cannot express her talent. She made this shower perfect and I even got to use some of the decoration in the nursery.

The Food:

Red M&Ms and a black food writer made for adorable ladybug cupcake toppers!
The adorable ladybug labels are a retired design from Forever Your Prints.

Full cupcake tower, complete with red velvet cpcakes!

The Decorations / Games:

The centerpiece for the gift table and first activity was a ladybug diaper cake with paper “spots” for guests to write words of encouragement on (similar to the well wishes and advice tree). Black paper circles and a metallic pen would be great too!

Another classic game with a ladybug twist was the “don’t say baby” game. I attached adhesive ladybugs (mine were from Oriental Trading) to clothespins. Upon entering each guest was explained the rules of the game. Grab a clothespin and attach it to your clothing. Don’t say 'baby', 'cute', or 'ladybug'. If anyone catches you saying one of those words you lose your pin. Last one with a pin is the winner! This is a great ice breaker game that goes throughout the entire shower!
