Where To Host Your Child's Birthday Party

Where to host your party is the first step and a big part of the planning stage. Lets go over a few of the options.

1. Your home

This is a popular choice because it's free! It's free and you don't have to haul all your decorations to another location hoping you didn't forget anything. Things to consider if hosting the party in your home are; How many people do you have space for? Will guests have parking available? What activities will you have to keep kids busy? If you want to be in control of the setup and be able to include homemade treats or a meal, your home is a great option.

2.  A Park

A Park is a great location to host a party! Many of the tables are free on a first come first serve basis or you can pay for a pavilion with more seating and usually covered tables. You still have the decoration freedom and are able to use homemade treats and a meal if you'd like. The bonus is that your home stays clean and the playground is a built in activity for the kids! This is not an option all year round however, be aware of the weather forecast when planning a park location and have a "rain location" if needed.

3.  A Family Fun Center (arcade, bowling alley, roller skating, etc.)

These are great locations for children old enough to run around the location on their own. They often have party packages and can include setup and cleanup, making your job easy peasy! Children are surrounded by entertainment. There are usually tight restrictions on food, most allowing for cupcakes to be brought in only, to keep in mind. Be sure to look around and compare party packages to find ones that include what you are looking for. This is a more expensive option, but less work on your part.

4.  Field Trip

The Zoo, a hike, camping, swimming, movie and more. These options leave little room for decoration (although some may have party rooms) but have the activity taken care of! Things to keep in mind are; Will this be a parent drop off party? Do you need volunteers to help watch a younger group? Are you driving the kids to the location or are the parents? Will there be a snack provided? A great option that takes minimal planning and can be minimal cost as well, hiking is free! Ask the Zoo about their group rates!

Where will you host your next party?
