Tie dying is one craft, even style that never gets old. It is fun for any age. I made these shirts for my three kids (Ella, Evan & Annie), to wear on fourth of July. I am a sucker when it comes to my kids matching! They will look super cute in their patriotic, handmade shirts.

Supplies:

• Red & blue dye (I prefer the liquid dye, slightly more expensive but easier to prepare dye bath)
• Rubber bands
• T-shirt 

Directions:

1. Wet t-shirts and ring out excess water 
2. Pinch center of shirt and start twisting
3. Add three rubber bands, spaced out
4. Follow instructions on dye packaging to prepare dye bath
5. Dip one end of shirt in red dye. Let sit for 5 minutes
6. When done, gently squeeze (WEAR GLOVES) red dye from shirt
7. Turn shirt around and repeat with blue dye bath. Let sit for 5 minutes
8. Let shirt sit for at least an hour before rinsing

The longer the shirt sits, the brighter the colors. Place red end under water and rinse until water runs clear. Repeat on blue end. Remove rubber bands. Wash shirt on warm (by themselves for first wash). Tumble dry low. Wear with USA pride!
